I have stayed here quite a few times. The last time was about 2009, so I can't give a current review. But, if there have been no significant changes, and the same wonderful couple still own and manage it, then I can highly recommend it. A variety of nice little cabins, one- and two-bedrooms. Quaint, well-kept, and a pleasure to stay in. Convenient store right across the street. This is where I stay when I come home to Muskegon. A quick drive down River Rd takes you to the beach. Unless you're looking for Fancy, I highly recommend staying here.
I have been staying here for a few months now. I have been watching the owner and the manager put a lot of time and effort to constantly improving this place. I would definitely recommend this place if you need a place to stay for awhile because of what life has thrown at you. Or just if you want to get away for a few days.
If your looking for a CLEAN MOTEL, great weekly/monthly rates, and a wonderful office lady...then THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! If your from Muskegon then you know finding a Motel w Weekly Rates is almost IMPOSSIBLE! But N. Muskegon has 3 of them...2 of which have bed bugs, which leaves this place, The Bears Den. Their little mini house looking things that are all separated. Theres NO kinda "riff raff" or rude loud ppl aloud to stay either so you dont have to worry about any of that! I HIGHLY recommend this place BUUUT be sure to book in advance (if possible) because their ALWAYS full!!!
Recently stayed here(Nov. 2022) and was really impressed by the newly renevated Cabins, which are very cool. Apparently, the motel is under new management which has clearly sunk some serious money into the property.This is an interesting alternative to traditional motel lodging and I very much enjoyed my stay here!!!!
Currenly reside here in a two bedroom Cottage and cannot say enough for how well maintained the facility is since the new Management took over(Mike the manager has been extremely helpful and very prompt in addressing any issues I've had). I genuinely would rate this Motel 5 stars!!!!
Beautiful apartment like motel room with kitchen and full amenities. Lovely laundry room on site. Landscaping and property very unique and well kept. Management easy to reach day and night.
I have traveled this beautiful country and stayed at several motels and hotels. I will say the Bears Den Motel is my home away from home. Very friendly and exceed all of my expectations. Thank you Bill and Mike for your GREAT service!
